The Process of Making the Hoodie

Each hoodie starts with a few creative choices: it may feature embroidery on the front, a printed design, or be left plain for a more minimalist look. The real magic happens when it comes to the back print, where the artwork comes to life.

1. Preparing the Back Print: Once the artwork is approved, we prepare the design for printing. This is done using our Direct-to-Film (DTF) printer, which prints the design before it goes through a powdering, shaking, and curing process. This ensures that the print is vibrant and long-lasting.
2. Cutting and Heat Pressing: The printed designs are then cut to the perfect size. We set our heat press to the correct temperature to ensure the best results. Each hoodie is carefully measured and lined up on the heat press, ensuring the placement is precise. The DTF film is then positioned in the centre of the back and measured for accuracy.
3. Heat Pressing the Design: The design is heat-pressed onto the hoodie, then the film is removed once it cools. To ensure durability, the hoodie is pressed again to seal the print, creating a smooth, professional finish.
4. Custom Printing (if required): For those special orders, such as our London-themed hoodies with sleeve prints, we use the same heat press process with a different plate size to add extra designs to the sleeves.
5. Final Touches and Packing: After the printing is complete, the hoodies are ready for packing. Each one is carefully folded and placed into a biodegradable, recyclable bag along with a care card. The card provides instructions on how to wash, dry, and iron the hoodie, ensuring it stays in top condition for as long as possible. To make sure every hoodie reaches the right student, we label each bag with the child's name, ensuring a smooth and accurate distribution when the package arrives.

How Long It Takes

From the moment the artwork is approved to the final touches in packaging, creating the leavers hoodies takes careful coordination and precision. The process typically takes 3-5 working days, depending on the complexity of the design and the volume of the order. Embroidery can add an extra 1-2 days. Despite the detail involved, we always aim to deliver your hoodies on time, ensuring students have their custom clothing when they need it.
